Folo BYOK AI Summarizer

Overview

Folo BYOK AI Summarizer does not collect, sell, or share user data with the developer.

The extension is designed to summarize articles opened in Folo using the user's own OpenAI-compatible API endpoint and API key.

Data stored locally

The extension stores user settings locally in the browser, including API Base URL, API key, model name, prompts, output language, shortcut settings, and auto-summary preference.

Data sent to the user's configured API endpoint

When the user triggers a summary, the extension reads the currently opened Folo article content and sends the article title, URL, body text, and the user's API key to the API endpoint configured by the user.

The developer does not operate this endpoint and does not receive this data.

No developer-operated backend

The extension does not include any built-in API key, does not use a developer-operated backend server, and does not collect analytics or telemetry.

Data deletion

Users can remove stored settings by uninstalling the extension or clearing extension storage in the browser.
